Our Design Process

Step One

The client works with an estimator and project manager to develop an initial design. Using this information, a quick mock-up is drawn to give the customer a preliminary sketch of the completed project.

Step Two

Our graphic designer uses the mock-up to generate a computer representation of the completed project. The project manager works with the client to ensure that the client is 100% satisfied with the design.

Step Three

The completed design is sent to production for fabrication and quality control. Our strong relationships with our contractors ensure that your sign is made with the highest quality of materials and finished in a timely manner.

Frequently Asked Questions

At Oakhurst Signs, we put the customer first. That is why we are constantly looking for ways to improve your experience. Do you have a question that you can’t find here? Call us at 727-532-8255.

Do you handle installation?

Yes, we do! We coordinate the entire sign process – from beginning to end – so you can focus your attention on other matters. Need a permit? We can handle that, too. With us at the helm, you can count on a smooth, easy process.

What is the best material to work with?

Durability is the most important part of choosing a sign material. Three popular sign materials that are used in the sign industry are:

  1. Sign Foam- This high-density urethane foam consists of more solid and less air, making it the number one replacement for wood products. Using urethane as a base means that it is impervious to all petroleum-based solvents. Even in its “raw” state, it is completely waterproof and unaffected by climatic changes.
  2. Celtic PVC- Celtec is a rigid, foamed, closed-cell polyvinyl chloride (PVC) that can be used for limitless applications in the sign and display market. It possesses a great versatility and durability for fabricating. Celtec is also lightweight and easily routed for a great 3D effect.
  3. Metal- Oakhurst offers a full line of DOT metal signs, including stop signs, parking signs, school signs, traffic signs and custom metal signs.

Our project managers will work closely with you to make sure that the sign material used is a perfect fit for you and your job.

Why didn’t we mention wood? Oakhurst does not use wood unless it is for an indoor sign. Wood rots and does not last. We urge you not to buy wood for an outdoor project unless you are interested in a high maintenance product.

Our project managers will work closely with you to make sure that the sign material used is a perfect fit for you and your job.

What is your turn around time?

Every job is unique with its own set of needs. Our project managers will work with you to set realistic goals and dates for your sign project delivery or installation.
